Launch the media gallery 1 playerIt is the philosophy of Peru Elementary School District 124 that all students are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities including athletic, academic and fine arts endeavors. Such activities promote the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes, which will enrich the personal growth of early adolescents.
Parkside Middle School is a member of the Starved Rock Conference. As a member of the conference the school will compete against fellow conference schools at the 7th & 8th grade levels in girls basketball, boys basketball, volleyball, scholastic bowl and track. In each of these sports there will be a conference tournament to crown the champion.
We are also a member of the IESA (Illinois Elementary School Association) where we compete in the end of the season state series in softball, baseball, girls basketball, boys basketball, volleyball, scholastic bowl and track.

7th and 8th grade volleyball parent meeting (along with 5th and 6th parents) is tomorrow 12/11 at 6:00 in the Parkside cafeteria. 7 & 8 will practice at 6:30, after the meeting. Concussion testing for those who haven't taken it this year will be Friday 12/12 at 2:00.
