From the Board of Education through the administration, faculty and staff, we fully believe in accountability in the performance of our students and the quality of our schools.
The COVID-19 pandemic prompted the U.S. Department of Education (ED) to offer states a waiver of all federally required assessments, summative designations, and many reporting requirements for the Illinois Report Card for the 2019-20 school year. The ED ruling waived all federally required assessments in the 2019-20 school year, waived the requirement to provide summative designations and identify schools for targeted and comprehensive support in the 2019-20 school year, and waived the requirement to report on accountability indicators on the 2019-20 school year Report Card. The federal waiver impacts the majority of metrics typically reported on the At-A-Glance Summaries; therefore, the 2020 Summaries are not being produced.

Regardless of which state assessment is used, our teachers, administration and staff will continue to develop and use our own local assessment data to inform instruction and ensure student academic growth. More importantly, we will continue to focus not on a state test, but on authentic learning opportunities and developing a deep, meaningful curriculum for our students.
