ESSER Funds Expenditure Plan
The American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) fund provides states and school districts help to safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nation’s students.
Section 2001(i) of the ARP Act requires a Local Education Agency (LEA) that receives ARP ESSER funds to develop and make publicly available on its website, within 30 days after receiving its allocation, a plan for the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services. Prior to making the plan public, the LEA must seek public comment on the plan and take such comments into consideration when developing the plan. This plan was presented in its entirety at the Peru Elementary School District 124 regular October Board meeting on October 20, 2021. Amendments to this plan will periodically be presented to the Board of Education at a public meeting.
