Peru Education Foundation
Give the Gift of Education
We are very proud of fulfilling the mission of the Foundation, which is to "provide financial support to complement, enhance and enrich the educational programs and opportunities of all students in Peru Elementary School District 124." Put more simply, it is our sincere hope that this Foundation will provide the basis for wonderful educational opportunities for our children for generations to come. Here is the Peru Education Foundation brochure if you would like more information on giving, or if you would like to share it with others.
Completed as part of the Board of Education's Strategic Plan, the Foundation was established in 2013 by a group of very dedicated people. Much work has gone into planning and organizing the Foundation, including the development of the Peru Education Foundation By-Laws, as well as the establishment of our 501(c)(3) tax exempt status as a public charity. This means that anyone may give to our Foundation and claim the donation as a tax deduction.
Foundation Grant Funding Application
Current Peru Elementary School District 124 staff may access the Peru Education Foundation Grant Funding Application to request grant funds which will serve to complement, enhance and enrich educational opportunities for students. Funding will be considered for curricular, instructional or other projects or activities that achieve our mission. Funding will not be considered for salaries, benefits, athletic activities or transportation costs.
Tax Deductible Donations
Please consider the Peru Education Foundation as a beneficiary of one of your charitable, tax deductible donations. Our students are very grateful for our donors, and following are some options for giving:
Personal Check - Please make checks payable to the Peru Education Foundation and send to the Peru Education Foundation, 1800 Church Street, Peru, Illinois 61354. Please click here for our brochure with giving information if you would like to share this with family, friends or co-workers. You can make a one-time donation, or make an annual gift.
Leave a Bequest - Individuals may wish to consider a charitable bequest by naming the Peru Education Foundation in your will or in your life insurance policy. Consider a paid up policy no longer needed to protect your family or naming the Foundation as successor beneficiary should the named beneficiary die before the insured.
Create a Memorial - You can leave a memorial to the Peru Education Foundation to honor the memory of a loved one.
Provide a Gift of Honor - You can make a donation in another person's name to mark an anniversary, birthday or special event.
Give Stock - There may be tax advantages to donating appreciated securities, and income from a particular investment. Inherited stock, mortgage, note, bond or income property can be donated to the Foundation.
Establish a Trust - There are a range of potential trust options which allow you to donate to the Foundation in this fashion.
